Recently, a member of the newspaper family passed away. His name was Pulitzer, and he was a betta fish. He joined our family in May of 2015 when he was donated by a student. The student, Olivia Boyd, was moving to California and generously gave him to the newspaper class. His name was changed to Pulitzer to represent his class and in honor of the man who was responsible for the Pulitzer Prize, Joseph Pulitzer. His life was full of many pleasures, such as sitting in his leaf hammock and string his bowl cleaned. Most advanced students have had the pleasure of cleaning his bowl, and seen the way he acts. He’s was so excited he just couldn’t help but jump with joy whenever he saw his bowl slowly empty. Sadly, future students will not have the opportunity to meet and play with Pulitzer. He will be missed.
