The Buena girls volleyball team had their first game just a couple weeks ago, and have been busy with additional games and practices since. All of Buena’s girl’s volleyball teams consists of a large group talented and athletic girls, with a passion for the sport. Freshmen, junior varsity, and varsity all work hard for a win. They are coached by Coach Todd Bradbury.

The team’s last game was Tuesday, September 11, where the varsity girls unfortunately lost to Marana High School. Set one resulted in a 25-8 score, with Marana in the lead. Continuing set two at 25-12, and set three at 25-12 again. The final score was 3-0, with Marana the winner. This doesn’t hurt Buena’s girls too much though, as they have won four games since August 30. The team hopes to pick themselves up and win their next games. The next match for Buena’s girl’s volleyball is Tuesday, September 18 at Sahuaro High School. Their next home game is Thursday, September 20, against Cholla High Magnet School’s Chargers. Come on out and support the girls as they play through the season.
